Don't let back pain keep you from fully enjoying your pregnancy.
Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Every day, thousands of Hoosier women suffer from back pain that affects their ability to fully enjoy what should be one of the most joyous moments in their lives. Pregnancy should be special and enjoyable, yet back pain is so common in pregnancy that most women believe it’s normal. The truth is that back, neck, rib, pelvic, and pubic bone pain in pregnancy is common, but not normal.
In pregnancy, a woman’s body undergoes structural changes that affect posture, distribution of weight, the way she walks, and even the laxity of the ligaments that connect the bones in the body. As a result of these changes, many women experience pain.
The great news is that most of this pain in pregnancy can be greatly improved or completely eliminated with prenatal chiropractic care!

Benefits of Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Decreased Pain
Gentle adjustments and soft tissue treatments decrease pain by restoring proper alignment to the bones of the pelvis, spine, and ribs as well as relaxing tight muscles.
Better Sleep
Less pain means less tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable sleep position, which translates into better sleep for pregnant women receiving chiropractic care.
Optimized Positioning of your baby
Addressing fixations in the joints of the spine and pelvis and imbalances in the soft tissues of the pelvis maximizes the space in the pelvis and encourages your baby to move into, or stay in, an ideal position for birth.
How Prenatal Chiropractic Has Helped
Let me tell you about Chelsea. She was 33 weeks pregnant and experiencing low back pain and pain on the right side of her ribs. She was very uncomfortable and heard about Webster technique in her prenatal yoga class. She decided to schedule a complimentary consultation to find out whether prenatal chiropractic care could help her, and after the consultation, she decided to become a patient. We began adjustments using Webster technique and other gentle chiropractic techniques, and within two visits, her rib pain and low back pain had significantly improved. As her pregnancy progressed, she continued with chiropractic care, and she was able to remain active and comfortable until she gave birth to her baby.
"I was really suffering from SI pain in my lower back and some rib pain beginning early in my 2nd trimester. After the first visit with Kristen, the rib pain was relieved completely, and the SI pain lessened. Each session we worked on the SI/lower back pain, and it continued to improve with each adjustment. I did not start seeing Kristen until I was 33 weeks pregnant, but I would definitely start this therapy much much sooner in my next pregnancy. I also think that the pelvic alignment assisted in me achieving an unmedicated childbirth, along with prenatal yoga and massage. Thank you, Kristen!"
